Ivana Dakić
Oboist Ivana Dakic started her music career at the Kosta Manojlovic Music School in Belgrade.
During her studies, she won numerous regional and country-wide competitions in former Yugoslavia. She received her master degree in the class of Professor Ljubisa Petrusevski at the Faculty of Music at University of Arts in Belgrade. As the best student of the Woodwind Department, she received the Bruno Bruni award. Currently, she is in her first year of doctoral studies at the same institution, focusing on chamber music.
She has performed as a soloist with the RTS Symphony Orchestra, the Bellotti Quartet, and the Mokranjac Quartet, premiering and recording Zlatan Vauda’s 7 Stories about Number 7 with the latter. As a member of the trio SIO, she has had a series of successful concerts in Serbia. Additionally, she is a member of the RTS Wood Quintet, the Femina Trio, the Kotor Art Quintet, the Da Capo Duo, and the Circle Ensemble. With the Kotor Art Quintet, comprised of eminent musicians from Serbia and Montenegro, she performed at the 2021 Kotor Art festival in Kotor, Purgatorije festival in Tivat, and in the Modern Gallery of the Museums and Galleries in Podgorica. With the Circle ensemble, she has performed at festivals in Poland and Italy.
She has worked in the National Theater and the RTS Symphony Orchestra as a solo oboist and often collaborates with the Belgrade Philharmonic, the National Theater Opera Orchestra, and the Montenegro Symphony Orchestra as the first oboe. Additionally, she has collaborated with orchestras such as Dusan Skovran and Camerata Serbica. She is one of the organizers of the Oboe Fest festival and a co-organizer of the project Europe, Be My Guest.
She currently teaches at the Music School Josif Marinkovic in Belgrade. Her students actively participate in competitions, winning numerous awards. She has previously conducted oboe courses in Serbia and Montenegro and is currently employed as a teaching assistant in the course Methodology and Orchestral Parts for Woodwind Instruments at the Faculty of Music University of Arts in Belgrade.
