Various chamber ensembles, from duo to quintets, are in our program focus.

Duo: Camille Saint-Saens: The Suite for Cello and Piano, Op. 16, Sonata for Cello and Piano Op.32 No.1; Nadia Boulanger: Three Pieces for Cello and Piano; Astor Piazzolla: History of Tango for Flute and Guitar; Edvard Grieg: Sonata for Violin and Piano No. 3 in C Minor, Opus 45 and others.

Trio: Ludvig van Beethoven: String Trio in C Minor Op.9 No.3; Edouard Destenay: Trio in B Minor for Piano, Oboe (Flute) and Clarinet Op. 27; Mélanie Bonis: Suite en trio, Op. 59; Josef Haydn: Piano Trio in No. 39 in G Major, Hob. XV/25; Claude Debussy: Piano Trio in G Minor; Aram Khachaturian: Trio in G Minor for Clarinet, Violin and Piano; Alexander Borodin: String Trio in G Major, and others.

Quartet: Franz Schubert: Strings Quartet “Death and the Maiden”

Quintet: Robert Schumann: Piano Quintet in E Flat Major, Op. 44; Antonin Dvorak: Piano Quintet No. 2 in A Major, Op. 81; Luigi Boccherini: Guitar in D Major, G.448; Dejan Despić: Wind Quintet Vignettes; Gabriel Pierné: Pastorale for wind quintet; Claude Debussy: Claire de Lune for wind quintet and others.

We received 35 applications from musicians of different ages, from high music and university students to young artists and music teachers who want to improve their performances and collaborate with our respectable mentors. Musicians who will participate the Camp play the following instruments: violin, viola, cello, piano, flute, clarinet, oboe, horn, bassoon and guitar.

This year’s participants of Montenegro Summer Camp for Chamber Music come from different cities of Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia and Hercegovina, North Macedonia and Germany.

  We are very happy that a current epidemiological situation in our country allows for international music gathering at Ivanova Korita.

Montenegro Summer Camp for Chamber Music will be held for the tenth time in a row on the Ivanova Korita from July 30 to August 7, 2021. Preparations for the jubilee edition of the Summer Camp represent a new challenge and motivation for us. As in previous years, we will provide excellent conditions for work and joint music making in the unique ambience of the Lovćen National Park. The application form with detailed information will be available in February.

After the final concert of the Montenegro Summer Camp for Chamber Music held in Podgorica on August 7, 2020, daily newspaper “Dan”, published the review titled “Young musicians following into footsteps of their mentors’’. (more…)

Due to adverse weather conditions and the health situation caused by COVID—19 in Cetinje, we were forced to change the structure of our traditional concert for the participants in Montenegro Summer Camp for Chamber Music. Instead of a concert in Cetinje, originally planned for August 6, we organized two concerts at the camp’s residence ”Lovćen” Recreational and Educational Center on August 5 and 6. All of our participants got a chance to perform in chamber groups and show off the skills they had gained in workshops and master classes at the Camp. (more…)
