Violinist Slađana Cvejić (2017-19) is from Kruševac in Serbia. She began to play violin at the age of seven and received her elementary and secondary music education at the music school in the city of Ćuprija, graduating with honors in 2010 as a student of Danica Gavrilović.  Slađana further studied at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade in the class of Marija Misita. As a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestra player, Slađana has won numerous awards and accolades in national and international competitions. She has been a member of the Orpheus String Orchestra, St. George’s Strings, Metamorphosis Orchestra and Camerata Serbica Symphony Orchestra. She has participated in master classes, played with orchestral academies and in festivals, and has performed beyond her native Serbia in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, Slovenia, Italy and France. During the summer of 2017, she participated in the Festival of Opera in Herceg Novi in Montenegro as a member of the festival orchestra and was engaged for the first time as a mentor-associate of the Montenegro Summer Camp for Chamber Music at Ivanova Korita. She has been a member of the Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra since September 2014, and since the start of the 2017-2018 season has served as Assistant Concertmaster.
