Dear musicians,

Welcome to the Summer Camp for Chamber Music, which we organize for the 14th time in row in the lovely ambient of the Lovćen National Park. Our mission continues happily, every edition is a story in itself, unique and unrepeatable, filled with music and unity of young people coming from various sides, with the wish to educate themselves additionally through collective playing. We develop this project with the intention to affirm chamber music among young musicians, and to provide them with the opportunity to learn from experienced artists and professors of international reputation.

We are grateful for the interest of young musicians to participate and be a part of our Camp. The list of applicants contains 40 musicians of different generations, among which are mostly high school and university students.

The team of mentors consists of: violinists Sreten Krstić (the concertmaster of the Munich Philharmonic and the chamber orchestra The Zagreb Soloists), Andrej Kurti-Đurović (Northwestern University of Lousiana), the violist Sofiko Tchetchelashvili (Northwestern University of Lousiana), the cellist Dmitrii Prokofiev (The Moscow Soloists, The Amsterdam Piano Trio), the oboist Ivana Dakić (The Symphonic Orchestra and The Brass Quintet of RTS, The Faculty of Music, Belgrade) and the clarinetist Veljko Klenkovski (The Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, The Belgrade Brass Trio, The Faculty of Music).

Our students usually come as individuals, which presents us with an additional challenge in terms of the selection of the repertoire of chamber music which will help them properly adapt into diverse musical ensembles.

The repertoire of the Summer Camp will include numerous pieces of chamber music of different epochs which inspire generations of musicians. Music for standard and non-standard ensembles equally finds its place on the work programme of this year’s Camp, and we will present the most successful performances at the final public concerts in Cetinje (The Ministry of Culture and Media of Montenegro, 07. 08) and in Podgorica (Montenegrin Music Center, 08.08).

The Summer Camp for Chamber Music continues to exist in the spirit of international collaboration; in addition to the international team of mentors, our students are from various countries (Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukraine, Belarus, China, Germany, etc.).

By affirming the informal musical education of young people through chamber music, we continue to encourage young musicians to cooperate, get acquainted, and make new friendships, as well as opportunities for musical growth.

We are looking forward to new meetings, gatherings, musical interpretations, and valuable experiences!
