The final concerts of the Summer Camp for Chamber Music will be held on Thursday, August 7, at 8 PM, in the Ministry of Culture and Media in Cetinje, within the program of the \u201cSummer in the Old Royal Capital\u201d, and, on Friday, August 8, at 8 PM, in the Montenegrin Music Center, within the program of the \u201cPodgorica Cultural Summer\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This year, the camp, traditionally organized at Ivanova korita in the Lov\u0107en National Park, has gathered 40 talented young musicians from Montenegro, the region, as well as from abroad, which have collaborated with renowned mentors on performing challenging and diverse chamber repertoire during intensive seven-day workshops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the camp, the participants have worked in the inspiring ambience of the Recreational and educational center \u201cLov\u0107en\u201d with prominent mentors from various parts of Europe and the world \u2013 violinists Sreten Krsti\u0107 and Andrej Kurti, the violist Sofiko Tchetchelashvili, the cellist Dmitrii Prokofiev, the oboist Ivana Daki\u0107, and the clarinetist Veljko Klenkovski.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The students of the camp are gathered in 27 chamber ensembles, both standard and non-standard ones-from duos, trios, and quartets to quintets and larger groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The programs of the final concerts will consist of popular compositions of classical music, as well as of pieces by contemporary composers. This year, the students of the camp had a unique opportunity to collaborate with Dra\u017ean Kosori\u0107, a composer from Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the preparation of the performance of his piece \u201cBalkan Tango\u201d. The repertoire of the performances will also consist of, among others, the work \u201cHumoresque alla Bosniaca\u201d for four flutes, a piece by the young talented composer Faruk Mehi\u0107.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As before, the chamber ensembles will present themselves on two concerts with different programs. The project is organized by the Culture Information Center \u201cBudo Tomovi\u0107\u201d, with the continuous support of the Ministry of Culture and Media of Montenegro, the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Secretariat for Culture of the Capital, as well as by the Tourism Organization Cetinje. JU \u201cLov\u0107en-Be\u010di\u0107i\u201d, public institution from Cetinje is a friend of the \u201cMontenegro Summer Camp for Chamber Music\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
