Cellist

Cellist Milan Ninković (2018) was born in Rijeka in Croatia. His music education started in Belgrade, on piano and cello. He graduated in 2015 from the piano department of the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, in the class of Branko Penčić, after having studied in the cello department at the same Faculty under Dejan Božić, graduating in 2014. He subsequently obtained a master’s degree with honors from the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz in Austria, where he studied with Tobias Stosiek. Milan has attended master classes with many prominent cellists, among them: Gautier Capuçon, Louise Hopkins, Stefan Popov, Ksenija Janković, Stanislav Apolín, Reinhard Latzko and Mischa Maisky. Milan has played in master classes for chamber music given by Johannes Meissl and Marialena Fernandes. Milan’s participation in numerous competitions and projects includes performaning with the ensembles Symphonia Vienna, NoWon Orchestra (from Seoul) and No Borders Orchestra, as well as in the festival Wir sind Wien.

He is a member of the Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra, currently at the position of Principal Cello Player.
